9 highly educated bollywood actors You Didn’t Know About

They made it big with their acting skills but they’re also highly educated bollywood actors. Gone is time when people used to say that actors don’t study or aren’t ‘educated’. Bollywood actors are part of a different league now – they’re the most highly educated bollywood actors.

While there a number of actors who never went to college or dropped out, there are some who could have promising careers in some other profession if they hadn’t joined the acting profession. While you would already know one name in the list through my previous post on Parineeti Chopra, there are nine more in this list that would make you go from ‘what’ to ‘wow’.

1. Amitabh Bachan: Let’s begin with this legenadary actor. Big B is still haunted by women who would marry him right then if given a chance. He still makes young women skip their beat. I was amazed to see that he has a double major in Science. Of course, he has an honorary Doctorate as well but I want to talk about the degrees the actors have got through studying endless chapters like normal people do.

2. Vidya Balan: I am really a fan of this lady and you would also be amazed if you look at the degrees she has. Vidya Balan did her bachelor’s in sociology and has also done a master’s degree.

3. John Abraham: This is the actor who deserves the credit of making me a fan of MBA. Since the time I knew he was an MBA, I had wanted to pursue MBA too. LOL I wish I had wanted to be an actor.

4. Preity Zinta: With her recent tiff with her ex boyfriend, she made a comeback in Bollywood news. But did you know that she is one of the highly educated bollywood actors? In fact, she gives a tough competition to Parineeti Chopra. Preity is a graduate in Psychology and holds a master’s degree in criminal psychology.

5. Amisha Patel: She studied economics and biogenetic engineering and was a bright student. I wish she could have made big in Bollywood but alas! There seem no chances for that now. Still, I would wish her good luck for her acting career.

6. Madhavan: He belongs to a set of bollywood actors who are really good in acting. He is truly one of the best actors in Indian Bollywood industry. Madhavan is a graduate in electronics and has represented India as its cultural ambassador.

7. Riteish Deshmukh: now, this guy has really broke many myths. He is an actor and son of a politician. And you don’t expect such kids to do good in studies but he did. Guess what! He is also an entrepreneur and owns an architectural and interior designing firm. Of course, he has a degree in architecture.

8. Saif Ali Khan & Soha Ali Khan: Both followed the footsteps of their father and did very well on the academic front. Saif has studied in reputed schools and colleges which really shows in his personality. Soha is a passout from London School of Economics. Why there are so many economic students turned actors in bollywood?

9. Parineeta Chopra: So, here comes our topper who has done triple honours and still chose to be an actor. Of course, recession played a great role then but maybe she became what she was meant to be.

So, many of you who think good education isn’t really necessary should take some inspiration from these highly educated bollywood actors and do some really good study/degree before going on with your creative pursuits. What’s your take on that?
