Crazy Stupid Love, a movie starring Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore, Steve Carell, and Emma Stone is one of the most recommended romantic movies to watch. Yet, I had never watched it until yesterday.
As I was secretly complaining about Netflix not having a great collection of T.V. shows and movies anymore (I mean, why don’t they have the Harry Potter movies and the Supernatural T.V. show?), I saw this movie in the suggestions. Then, I googled about the best movies to watch on Netflix and I saw this movie in the list. It was a sign.
I started watching Crazy Stupid Love, finally because last few times I tried to watch this movie, I hadn’t continued for more than five minutes. This time, I actually really liked the movie.
The most memorable moment of this movie was when Emma Stone comments on Ryan Gosling’s body and how it seemed photoshopped. Oh God! His body.
Ryan Gosling is the much popular hero from the romantic movie The Notebook. But, call it an unpopular opinion, but I didn’t enjoy the movie The Notebook that much. Maybe, I should watch it again as back when I watched it, the competition was with P.S. I love you which is my all-time favourite romantic movie that I can watch over and over again.
Anyway, Crazy Stupid Love has definitely ‘stupid’ in it. I mean, it’s a good movie but the ending? I had just started enjoying the movie and wanted it to get a bit more intense but sadly, it didn’t. It just ended. Poof! However, the message was really good. It was a fun and entertaining movie.
Do you know what amused me even more? Remember the Ryan Gosling body scene I mentioned? Well, I thought the actor is so handsome. I must follow him on Twitter. In my mind, I was picturing him as the husband of Blake Lively. Ryan Reynolds.
Yes, I have watched a few movies of both the actors and I totally thought both the actors were same. In fact, when I made the shocking discovery of the week, I had to switch between their pictures multiple times to let my eyes adjust to the differences between the two actors. A few minutes, spent reading the wikipedia page of both actors, later… I know both are different actors and both are fantastic.
That’s Crazy Stupid Love for me. A movie I am finally going to remember that was responsible for the confusion and clarification about the Ryan and Ryan thing.
Have you watched this movie? What do you think about it?
What are your favourite romantic movies?
My all time favorite? P.S. I love you.
I just wanna see you… when you’re all alone…
I just wanna catch you… if I can…
[…] Crazy Stupid Love is a lovely movie. A feel-good movie you must watch. I wouldn’t give it full points on plot but it’s still very good. […]
